These principles are based on the Great commandment (Matthew 22:37-39) and the Great Commission (Matthew 28:18-20, Mark 16:15).
At Woodhaven, we emphasize:
1. Everything we do should bring glory to God. We are to worship Him rather than seek to please ourselves. Truth comes from the Bible, the inspired Word of God and we must be people of prayer who are empowered by the Holy Spirit.
2. The importance of proclaiming the good news to all people – especially children and those who do not know Jesus Christ. Through its history, Woodhaven has been a place that has valued children’s programming in order to reach young people for Christ!
3. The church is not a building, but a collective body of believers who are called (John 2:15-17) to live for the honor and glory of God before a watching world. We are set apart, but not detached from it. We are witnesses – the salt and light of the world – to show the love of Christ to others.
